Ornamental Quince

A great crop of fruits on this Quince, unfortunately the wet weather has started rotting some of the fruits which often remain until the spring in cold dry winters. Even a few flowers opening already although its main flowering period is around week 13 as you will see in my book "All Year Plants in Flower" on page 51.
The fruits are a valuable source of pectin and the true quince is used to make a delicacy of Quince jelly.
