Manga portrait

Today we had a really rewarding day visiting the sights in Kyoto, the old capital of Japan.

Starting at the Kinkaku-ji, a gold leaf covered temple set in some beautiful gardens, we travelled to the Zen temples at Daitoku-Ji with its famous gardens representing the journey through life seeking enlightenment.

We then travelled to Kyoto Castle, the seat of the Tokugawa shoguns who ruled Japan between 1603 and 1867.

All were very deserving of a blip photo but I decided to choose the Anime portrait we had done at the city's Manga museum.

The artist was a lovely young girl who managed to create this painting in just 30 minutes. We decided to be a ninja and a geisha.
