Forbidden City

Beautiful day in Beijing especially for visiting the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the Summer Palace and the Birds Nest Stadium. Quite a busy day.

The Forbidden City is beautiful. This is one of many statues outside the Hall of Supreme Harmony. Everything is decorated, painted, or carved - stunning to look at.

This afternoon I walked along the shore of the frozen lake at the Summer Palace, the sunset was wonderful. Today is my last day in China, tomorrow I'm heading home to join in frantic preparations for Christmas. It's been a fabulous trip!
