Nametag

It has been a surreal day! No opportunity for a blip other than this, I'm afraid. I popped out from work to keep an appointment with my GP about an infected cyst on my back, and almost before I knew it, I was transferred to the hospital, sitting in a surgical gown, awaiting an operation. I phoned the GP at 08.30, got an appointment for 10.10, checked in to the hospital at 11.oo and was in theatre having the operation at 19.00. Ironically, I listened to a piece on BBC radio on the way to work about people further south who have a three-week waiting time see a GP. We are definitely very lucky to have the wonderful National Health Service staff that we have in the islands! Many thanks to all who helped me today.
