Christmas Tree at Church

The playgroup were having a Christmas Fete this morning, and they were having a fine time, but four of us were there to put up the Christmas Tree in the Sanctuary. It is not an easy thing to do, it is a big tree and stores in a box, and has to be assembled every year. It is quite complicated, but there is a colour code to follow so we persevere each year with it. This year one set of lights would not work, so we had to remove them from the tree (note: always check before putting lights on the tree).

It took us longer to assemble this year, partly because of the light hiccup, and also because we couldn't get the star to sit on top straight. However, we managed it eventually.

Findlay and Callum were helping (!!!) us, so the whole process took a longer than it would have otherwise. They had great fun though! And were very pleased with their picture.

Very cold today with a sprinkling of snow.

We are going to the Phoenix Choir Christmas Concert tonight, and very much looking forward to a super musical evening.
