I'm using this shot in an ironic sense... if ever a farm was in need of extra light, it's this one! A real mixture of traditional roof styles, with lots of add-ons.

Over here you have men in their eighties walking across their deep sloping roofs to check a broken tile. I don't think their roofing method has changed much since the Roman occupation judging by the model of one such villa they unearthed locally.

Some of these terracotta tiles are embossed with symbols, such as grapes, and they look very pretty with added bits of lichen and moss which accumulate over the years. They're an art form really.
