Birmingham Christmas market...

Unexpectedly, I had time to wander and explore the Christmas market for an hour or so before heading for the airport. I was quite surprised by how different the Birmingham market was from the one in Edinburgh...
At the Birmingham market there was less variety, in that it was more food and drink and a lot fewer craft stalls. On the plus side though, it was far less busy and so you could enjoy what the market had to offer. In Birmingham there were also far more of the grander Christmas decorations, like the Santa and his reindeer on top of the stalls...
I was delighted to buy a couple of large German style Church Christmas candles, which have not been available in Edinburgh in recent years.
There was a lively atmosphere created by a large group of street musicians playing Christmas tunes... all in all, it was a very nice trip!
