Multicoloured roses

For our house warming we were given a huge bunch of roses, almost all multicoloured. Here is a close up of a couple of them.

The party was great. I had suggested people bring a plant or a plate or just themselves. Given several plants for our bank - a plum and greengage (my daughter), hazelnuts, figs, and a peach, plus a black current and set of herbs.

Miles of wonderful food, such a friendly lot - mostly tramping / walking friends who do know how to enjoy themselves.

Had another swim in the lake today. Definitely warmer than yesterday.
