Blue Wildflower

A closer look at the blossom on the lower right makes me think that this might be a Lady Slipper, but since I really don't know, that is only a guess. It is a pretty flower against a stark background.

Temps will start pushing 80 degrees F and we can expect a great explosion of wildflowers in the desert this year. Lots of winter rain is a major contributor.

Later: Bad Guess! Our resident gardener advises me that this is a LUPINE. We drove back up to where the picture was taken for confirmation. We also saw and identified Blue Bells, Globe Mallow. In addition we saw a big black bull (bovine) and a coyote who was in a hurry to get somewhere.
