Choral Evensong in Lincoln Cathedral

For the last three days we have had Choral Scholars from Trinity College Cambridge staying with us and have had a feast of superb music. On Thursday Night we went to 'Dinner in the nave' at Tetney church where the Choral Scholars sang for us. On Friday they treated Grimsby shoppers to their songs and also sang in Grimsby Minster. On Saturday they sang to a full St James' church in Louth, and it was a superb concert - full of Christmas music, some classical, some more well known but sung in so many parts. On Sunday we took three of them ( there were 16 in total) to Lincoln where they sung Choral evensong. It has been a pleasure having them to stay -such talented young people .
As we came out of Lincoln Cathedral it looked so dramatic against the night sky. It is however a really difficult building to photograph as you would need a very wide angle lens because you can't stand far enough back to get the whole beautiful frontage in.
