Purfleet Quay

It was a cold and frosty morning as we set off to meet my sister and brother-in-law in King's Lynn. The first time we'd met up in 6 years, though we're in contact on a regular basis.

Pleasant walk around the town and by the river (the Great Ouse) in bright sunshine, and a fish & chip lunch. The blip shows Purfleet Quay with the rather splendid old Customs House, a statue in memory of Cpt George Vancouver (a mariner, navigator and surveyor born in King's Lynn in the 1750s) and an art installation.

King's Lynn proved to be rather nicer than any of us thought it might be, and we'll try to go there again before too long. Good to see A & C after such a long time - we mustn't leave it so long until the next time!

Back to Mr M's dad's armed with food for an evening meal.
