Santa Plays a Merry Tune (BACK BLIP)

Yesterday was a very busy and social day. First off was the family Xmas party so we had to be up early to get the farm work done, make food then drive to Auckland in the rain for lunchtime. It was great catching up with all Peter's family. They are a very large family of 9 siblings plus their children ans well as all their children, partners and grandchildren. There were lots of kids ranging in age from 15 down to just a few months and as always the trumpet playing Santa arrived on time for much fun and entertainment; not to mention the giving out of gifts.
We left there around 4pm; drove to Morrinsville to attend a very close friend's birthday party and yet another Xmas pot luck meal. This time we left before dessert as we still had another gathering to go. We hurried home and picked up more food but this time only had to go to a neighbours house for my book club end of year bar-b-quie; arriving just in time for dessert and coffee. Wow, what a great day but I have to say I am feeling rather tired now and have to go out to the golf club dinner tonight. Monday.
