Confused by Christmas?

We have a lake at the entrance to Divonne.
It now boasts an ice flow complete with several penguins, a seal and a polar bear [out of shot] complete with an igloo for them all to shelter in.
What this has to do with Christmas I am uncertain, but given it has just appeared I feel fairly sure of a connection, no matter how tenuous.
You may recall I also recently pictured a pirate scene in the midst of Christmas paraphenalia in Malaysia.
Is is any wonder I'm confused??
