Village Christmas tree festival

Here is our contribution: on a World War One theme- we were dubious but it works... We used brown paper wrapped gifts for the troops, then Reception printed poppies with potatoes ; year 1 stitched round the edge of a felt poppy; year 2 sewed a button into the centre of a felt poppy; year 3/4. ( my class) made poppies from crepe paper and florist wire; year 4/5 used a pyrography tool to decorate crosses, and year 6 made decorations such as chocolate , miniature wool balls and knitting needles, postcards . The church looked lovely and we all felt very proud of our ( war) effort .
