Hens

It has been a long day, albeit great (except for the 4.30am wake-up), and I can't remember the variety of these hens. I think they might be bantams, but I need to check. They are fairly new arrivals at the farm and have settled in superbly. I loved watching them preen their beautiful rich plumage this morning and the macro lens captured their colours perfectly, even in a dark barn.

Today was one of those greyish days that makes me wonder if there are any new photos to be taken at the farm. Then I got home, plugged in the camera and uploaded not only the morning but also enough work for a good chunk of the afternoon and evening.
