Col du Tourmalet

The Col du Tourmalet was the highest point on out Paris to Malaga bike trip portion of our Honeymoon. I love big hills. On Bike. On foot.
We had a good day for it. Started at 600m and no let up 'till 2115m. We were carrying full bike touring camping kit so could hardly hold our own against the guys on the road bikes.

The Tourmalet is a bit of a Tour de France legend, and rightly so. I think this year (2010) they're doing it twice!

At the top you are greeted by a very large naked cyclist sculpture. Couldn't quite get it in the picture
