Tricia having a whale of a time

This poor thing - not Tricia - has been washed up on the shore of Benbecula, probably a casualty of the recent storms. Still fairly fresh it is reckoned to be a Northern Bottle-Nosed Whale for those who know about such things. Recovering after the whaling ban, it is still not a common visitor to British waters.
The Ivory Gull was still defending its carcase by Loch Fada and this time a total of four birders there making it a massive twitch in Hebridean terms.
Christmas preparations continue - number of baubles on our tree doubled today and the Christmas cake and pudding prepared.
Bring it on.
