Bucolic Scene

Having just driven back from the village shop to collect the papers and post Christmas cards and buy a few groceries I had to slow down to let the shepherd and his dog push the flock down the lane to the new gateway of the next field. There seems to be masses of sheep around us at the moment including those on our farm!
These are ewes and are in lamb judging by the blue ink on their backs!
