Farewell . . .
The city pruners are out in force. This branch of a giant beech tree in Parc Bertrand has more than 60 rings. The stump of the main trunk was 4 feet across and had more than 130 rings as best I could count.
Ahhh, the stories this tree could tell, if only . . .
