Which pie is really Maman Blanc's?

Yet another pie! I will get myself labelled as the pie lady soon.

Neither it transpires This recipe has annoyed me. In Raymond Blanc's book there is a recipe called Maman Blanc's Apple pie, on the BBC website there is a second with the same name - but with different ingredients! Grrr. I'd followed the one from the book which misses out the vital custard. Guess who followed the wrong one?
