Village postbox!

I struggled to get out and get a good photo today! In the end just before the light faded I had to post some letters and got a quick blip of this post box.

I am not sure what is holding the box into the wall because the rest of the wall is slowly crumbling apart! I've never actually seen anyone emptying the box and I've often imagine there is a pile of letters going back many years on the other side of this old wall!!
