Delft Public Library

Today for my birthday I decided to treat myself to a visit to the Delft Public Library. Recently voted the best library in the Netherlands, it is an public amazing space. There is a 'reading café' (where there is free wifi access) and great coffee! A podium which is frequently occupied by the travelling librarians the Shanachies who happen to work as librarians at the Delft Public Library. There is lots of space for children to read, learn, play, game. A 'romantic corner', a music section (lots of MAC computers and interesting chairs to sit in)...and all this before we start looking at the collection! If you are ever in Delft in The Netherlands, it is well worth a visit! What more can you want from your public library?

You might want to see the other photos that I didn't blip...
