The Great Orme Tramway

We took Lynne to Llandudno today with the intention of taking the tram up the Great Orme, but as the weather was a bit 'iffy' we drove up. ( My poor 9 year old car actually chugged up!!) This is Lynne taking a shot of the tram, once we were at the top.
Interestingly, the Great Orme Tramway is Great Britain's only remaining cable operated street tramway and one of only three surviving in the world.
The line is in two sections. The first climbs 400 feet in about half-a-mile. The upper section climbs 150 feet in the same distance. Views from the summit are spectacular.
