Gargoyle Club 1925

Taking this photo led me to type into "Gargoyle" and "1925" into Google - whaddya know, there was a Gargoyle Club for arty fowk in London that was founded in 1925.

My favourite part of that is the sentence about one of the regulars - Painter John Minton who was "known for his frenetic solos on the dance floor... He committed suicide four years after..."
