Seaweed rock

I spent lunchtime today wandering along Owhiro Bay. The sea was relatively calm and the wind wasn't too bad...but the light was strange.

Lots of large cumulus clouds - pushed by a northerly and heading towards the South Island - kept blocking out the sun, then suddenly uncovering it again in its full ghastly, mid-day glare. Managed to get a few shots and I liked this one...another rock I'm afraid but with a little seaweed thrown in for good measure.

Edit: swapped shots...same subject, different rock, different seaweed ;-)
