Excursion

This afternoon we had a short excursion to the floodplains of the river IJssel. Really interesting area, with the first migratory birds returning from Africa and the big grazers managing the land (although at the moment they were probably grazing somewhere else because of a recent flood). And then heaven came down on us, with hail as big as eggs (exaggeration for dramatic effect), which reduced the interestingness quite rapidly and increased our numb fingers even faster... And the flat tire of my bike did not make things better, nor did the worst lecture since I can remember earlier on the day....

On the photo are my fellow students from Zimbabwe, Tanzania (Zanzibar), Thailand and Spain, as well as the lecturer.

Off to bed now, tomorrow we're leaving for a long weekend to Belgium, no plans, just relaxing! Night night!

Also backblipped yesterday.
