The Dugs Paws

By Cora

Twas on a Wednesday.........

...Morning when the Gas Man came to call, and I had forgotten all about it.
My daughter was due back from her holiday at 23.45 last night but she was diverted to Leeds and then bussed up to Edinburgh. The phone rang at 03.30 for me to go and pick her up. Went back to bed at 06.00,and was woken up by a big barky racket.
The gas man was not all that impressed.

So here is a wee poem.

If you don't want to be greeted with paws and swinging tails, don't come inside because dogs live here
If you don't like the feel of a cold wet nose or a wet tongue, don't come inside because dogs live here
If you don't want to step over many scattered toys, don't come inside because dogs live here
If you think that a home ought to smell of perfume, don't come inside because dogs live here
I you don't mind all of this, you will be instantly loved when you come inside because dogs live here
