Chimneys

The unique chimneys on Moray Place. I always wonder at the continued application of the epithet "Greek" to Alexander Thomson's architecture: to me there's always more Egyptian in it. 1-10 Moray place is reminiscent of the Temple of Hatchepsut to me, and the chimneys are like the columns in the Temple of Karnak.

Had a decent lunch with friends today. Two of us are whisky fans, and the third is developing an interest. So that'll be another potential guest for that whicky tasting I'm always meaning to organise.
