Car Boot Sale

Easter Sunday and I was up, showered, dressed, fed and ready to leave the flat before 7am. Even Jesus couldn't manage that.

It's car boot sale time. We've been hoarding junk for the last few months to sale today. And it was worth it. A pretty penny was earned.

Thainstone, near Inverurie, about 12 miles out of Aberdeen holds a market and car boot sale every Sunday. You've got to be there early to get a good spot. It's amazing, how many people attend and scavenge for what to you and me would seem like old tat. It really is true what they say, "What's one man's junk is another man's treasure".

I took a back seat role in the operation, making coffees, fetching bacon rolls, lifting boxes, while Emma, her mum and her auntie held the fort, collecting the money and haggling with the bargain seekers.

I sneaked away from the chaos to take this photo. My favourite thing about this photo is the lady in pink in the middle who seems to be looking straight at the camera.
