Softshell Turtle

I swear we're going to have to put up a sign saying "Turtle Crossing" in our parking lot at work. I have never seen so many turtles coming and going from one pond to the next.

This is a softshell turtle and he will bite you given half the chance. Look at that mouth, wide open, just looking to take a nip. If you look how one of the guys at work is holding him, you'll notice the shell is so soft and flexible, it bends. He had to be transported to one of the ponds or become roadkill in our lot.
