Sea Urchin

One of those days that seems full right from the moment of waking. I was up early to walk with Charlotte. Our usual route was still closed due to flooding so we meandered about and had a good chat. Breakfast with the children lasted about half the morning - a lazy affair with brioche, apricot jam and the sunday papers. The girls and I made some Easter biscuits and a huge lemon cake ready for some of Nick's family arriving and then we had a wander around the garden to see what was making a bid for growth despite the lack of sun. We discovered a robin was making a nest in the shed amongst Nick's camping gear. Nick is all for moving it, but I won't let him. The nest is finished and as you know camping is not my most favourite pastime - this is a great way to ensure the camping paraphernalia stays put!

R and D, Linds and Ali and wee Ru and Heather arrived. The children hunted for eggs and the adults ate cake. It was a lovely afternoon.

Later Nick cooked a wonderful Jamie Oliver recipe of chicken cooked in milk which was to die for! We all went to bed feeling extremely full and contented :)
