In Case of Doubt Here it is Again

Those fortunate enough to find themselves travelling East from London on the A127 will quickly arrive at one of England's finest new towns. To celebrate this fact, the local council has seen fit to invest £90,000 erecting the name of the town in 5ft high letters by the side of the dual carriageway a mere few hundred yards beyond the original sign. it is part of a £400,000 marketing project.

As reported by the Metro, Karen James, from Laindon, told the Daily Mail: 'They may as well have just erected a massive white stiletto for all the good that sign's going to do us.'

I have my own views about the sign (and the town), but I'll allow you to come to your own conclusions and above all, I hope you like it.
