Beanstalk

This beanstalk has been receiving tender loving care from Sophie since it was sent from school as a broad bean three weeks ago. It has grown so fast that her mum has had to tape two sticks together to keep it upright as you can see in the photograph. She's very proud of it and hopefully this will foster some further interest in plants and flowers and the garden in general, now that the weather is getting better.

I must see if I can find a little figure of a boy to set in the pot and tell her that Jack has come a'climbing!
