Luminol and broken dreams.

Another ChemBlip: This is a shot of my boss conducting an experiment with luminol for a group of Girl Scouts who visited our department today.

Personally, I haven't had any chemistry courses since I was a junior in high school; however, I've picked up bits and pieces along the way, both working in the chemistry stockroom and in my current position. It's one of those disciplines that is really interesting, but once you get a few chemists talking, it turns into a foreign language and my screensaver mode kicks in...

That having been said, I think the scouts who attended today were definitely entertained.
