After a rather large breakfast we drove to this beautiful village - Exton - and did a 6 mile walk around the area. The weather was good to us - in fact we both have a little too much red colouring, and the scenery was stunning. We stopped on route in another charming village - Uppington. We are blessed by some wonderful countryside and picture postcard locations.

We had a lovely lunch in one of Rutland Water's locals and then spent the afternoon driving round the water, wandering about and sitting in the bird hides watching geese, lapwings, swans, cormorants and an assortment of other birds. Quite a blissful day.
