Feast of Wall Drawings

These colorful creations are so-called wall drawings by Sol LeWitt. an American artist who became best know perhaps for separating the conception of his works from their execution.  Over the four decades of his career he conceived an astonishing variety of designs. At the outset he realized them himself, but he soon moved to having them put on their walls by "draftsmen."

This blip shows a tiny portion of a very extensive retrospective at MASS MoCA (Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art) in North Adams, which is scheduled to run through 2033. Conceive in the years before LeWitt's death in 2007, the exhibition reviews his entire career in bravura fashion.

We're here for a night and then go on to NYC for the weekend.
