A Load of Old Tosh

End of an Era

The Museum of Transport in Glasgow closes this weekend for about 18 months while the trains, trams, cars, bikes and assorted horseless carriages are moved to a new home on the riverside. The old place was packed this week as people took advantage to have a last wander round. Most were like me, saying goodbye to an old friend to had given pleasure over the years. A lot of older folk were there too, enjoying a final stroll down Kelvin Street, a life-sized replica Glasgow street, with bank, post office, pub, the Regal Cinema and the Underground Station. This blip is of the Gordon Highlander which plied the Highland lines in days gone by.
