an icle bit of chess

With a name like mine, I'm sure there are those of you who thought it was only a matter of time. I do think there is much photographic potential in the chess set.

This is my favourite final position from all the games of chess I have ever played. It was played in March and April 2006 (finishing, alas, on the 16th of April, though very shortly before midnight - so it was the 17th somewhere in the world!), an internet correspondence game. My opponent was called frogstomp. The game is ruined a little as I missed a very simple win earlier on. The score is below.

White: frogstomp

Edit: I've just noticed, I've managed to get the position marginally wrong!
