The Phoenix Rises

Whee!

After a very dissapointing morning, launching Sally, suffering a broken drive shaft and having to tow/haul her back into the shallow harbour whilst struggling against a fierce current. Having to get help from friends who came to see us off and causing one local some considerable distress, while he watched it unfold from his house.
The joys of the sea and seaweed......yes we were totally at it's mercy.

After recovering and regrouping (lunch and a shower) I set off with the others for a walk to Sandaig islands, one of my favourite places on the planet.

This is three of our band of merry walkers. The youngest, J was just 3 and she walked/swung/ bounced her way down to the shore and hardly a whimper coming back up either. A star in my book as were her companions.

The day was rounded off with two visitations to "The House", the first by the most excentric landed gentry neighbours, who invited themselves in to be given a tour of the almost completed building work.
Comments such as, "You have sexy teeth!" endeared the lady to us no end.

The second visit, was some dear old friends who were invited to dinner. Much laughter, stories, good food and some Uisge beatha.

A long day of differing emotions, but being here gives the best one of the lot.
