My Aim is True

Every picture tells a story

Although this picture doesn't quite tell the whole story.

We decided to have a little sit down on a bench while deciding where to head off to next. The sun was out.

Just behind us was a bloke playing the sitar . At either end of the street there was a small group of people with these John 3:7 signs. they were not holding them aloft, or stopping people. Most of them had adopted the stance of this bloke in the blue anorak.

You can see some of his John 3:7 pals to the left of the picture. having a cup of tea from Greggs. The shaven-headed schemie bloke kneeling down beside them had stopped with his bird in the patterned hooded top to engage the John 3:7 people in conversation.

Off camera to the right were a crowd of about 15 blokes seated outside the pub who looked like they'd been there a while and had consumed a large amount of beer.

About 15 seconds after I had taken this blip. The 15 drunken blokes started singing, very loudly in unison "There's only one John thirty seven, there's only one John thirty seven" (to the tune of Quanta namera). The schemie bloke was standing in the middle of the street with his joggers round his ankles his arse in the air while his bird guffawed as she downed her can of tennents. The John 3:7 blokes tried look amused.

And the sitar man kept on playing.
