forestry field day

Today I have been on a forestry field day.
Various discussions on landscape conservation versus wider forestry plantings, wilding trees taking over the landscape some of the myriad of issues with no clear answers or directions available.
The small trees on the far hills are all wildings - ie not planted trees, but grown from blown seed. They have almost overtaken the hill. the small brown patch on a ridge on the right has been sprayed to minimise blown seed.
