The Life of Penguin Five

And his name is... Bear!

The economics training that I attended yesterday inspired me for my first photo. The teacher explained us that there are two symbolic animals in finance: the bear and the bull. The terms bull market and bear market describe the upward and downward market trends. This is why you usually have statues of these two animals in front of the stock exchange. A statue of a bull looking up and a statue of the bear looking down.

Brussels has its own version. Instead of the bear and the bull, there are two enormous lions in front of the Brussels Bourse (stock exchange). And of course, one of the lions is looking up and the other one is looking down. Doesn't "bear" look nice in the evening sun?
