David Stirling Memorial

First blip for a while.......I know.....I've been bad........

Work has been one frustration after another lately so I decided to leave the office and get some fresh air (and maybe find myself a blip to post)

David Stirling was the founder of the elite British Army regiment, the Special Air Service (SAS). His life story is fascinating (click the link for more details).

This memorial is found between Bridge of Alan and Doune near the estate where he grew up as a child. The statue is solid bronze and is an impressive piece of art sited in a very exposed rural location with tremendous views across to the distant hills.

TFI Friday tomorrow.....
