Red Lodge

Two of my favourite TV programmes when I was growing up were Out of Town - Jack Hargreaves and The Good Life.

My dream at the time was to live at Red Lodge with a few dogs and keep chickens, bees and goats. Oh and marry Felicity Kendal!

At the time Red Lodge was surrounded by farmland and Woods but now sits on the edge of an industrial estate but it still has the magical appeal to me.

Built in 1870 as a gamekeeper's cottage it was threatened with demolition a few years ago but I think it now safe.
