The Joy of Hiking

Ellen's dog, Joy, frequently joins us on our Friday hikes. Today she insisted on sitting in the middle of the lupines I was trying to photograph. There are other photos with just her paw or tail on the move when I didn't even realize she was participating, but I thought this would make a very special Friday hiking blip.

It was a gorgeous day and we hit the flowers at Sunol at their peak--especially the lupines. It was a joyful hike, but not an easy one.
