this is my eldest daughter, Annie, she will be 7 on friday (how did that happen?!?), she has a chromosomal abnormality which led to a stroke at 4 months old followed 2 weeks later by a near fatal blow of pneumococcol meningitis, these two episodes has left her with severe brain damage.

she is a beautiful girl, although her beauty is not picked up by the photo, she has an amazing smile, a sense of humour that is wicked and a giggle that is infectious!

the two main events that changed her life forever (and ours) have left her unable to walk unaided, but thanks to the wonderful physiotherapists at Footsteps (hence the foot shot!!!) she is growing in strength, confidence, coordination and balance all the while. And the generosity of our friends and family giving money to the footsteps foundation, she is able to take part in 3 sessions a year.
