It's not every day...

...that you see an oilrig float past your window.

Actually it's not the first time. Dundee provides a dock for occasional oil platforms that are being refurbished. The rigs get towed in from the oil fields in the north sea, pictuted here a couple of miles from Dundee, where the river Tay constricts between Tayport and Broughty Ferry (it's castle in the background) A big tug up front and 2 smaller tugs close to the rig.
They're huge things, 500ft (?) and seeing them so close (this one is maybe 300meters away) gently floating past is a sureal sight.
