No Wind, No Rain

Mum, Dad and I spent this afternoon cutting down the conifer in the front garden which seems to have died from the base up. It's a beast of a tree, but it was swamping that part of the garden & was never intended to get that big.

It seemed to swallow everything up including the forsythia which my little sister has been fascinated by because in every garden around our street there seems to be one and was wondered (a) what it was and (b) why we didn't have one.

But we do! It's not very impressive, it only has a few leaves and flowers because it's not been getting enough light, but it's most definitely alive, so fingers crossed now we've stripped half the tree of leaves it'll spring back to life.
