Happy Birthday Laura!

Today was Laura's birthday. Laura is the girlfriend of my brother-in-law, Matt. She's studying to be an architect at Glasgow Uni but has recently been appointed a placement at another architect firm around the corner from mine in Edinburgh, so at lunch we met for coffee, cake and a natter so that it didn't go by unnoticed.

This morning my wife asked if I would write the birthday card and I instantly felt the pressure. I know I would write a basic message, no less heart-felt, with her name on the front. Jo has a way with cards that make them so special. I passed the buck quickly to make sure Laura got a good card...and she did.
