who ate all the jam?

Whilst the best picture I took by far today was a nice sunlit portrait of Rodti he didn't seem keen on the idea of being the blip when asked which of two shots he preferred. Just links then. The photo I was trying to get was of an equally interesting-looking but arguably prettier-faced woman sitting in some ace but sparse light a few seats away in the pub this afternoon. Unfortunately the lighting and telelens couldn't agree on a compromise so the shot remained untaken.

After dragging parents round to the parliament for a quick poke at the inside ("just a mess": K. L., Lincolnshire) I went for a final trawl along the high street to see if anyone jumped out at me. Not much happening with the people watching the people although there was a bloke standing on a bollard who seemed to be really considering his next picture who has been blipcarded.

Not much time for anything much over lunch as parents had to be escorted to the station. I was hoping that by carrying the big suitcase for them it would allow my dad to carry the wee suitcase so that no-one would have to demean themselves by pulling a wheeled suitcase which was ruined by my dad pulling the tinywee suitcase along on the pathetic tinywee wheels with the associated pathetic little rattling sound the wheels on suitcases tend to make. I vote to ban them and make everyone use nice big rucksacks which can be carried with the weight sensibly placed in the middle of the body. The station was achieved without mishap and in sufficient time for me to buy and eat a pasty whilst we waited for the train to arrive, be loaded, be goodbyed and depart. When the high street dies back down to the normal background content of a few grumpy-faced wifeys I might start hanging around the station a bit more for some peopleshots despite the tricksy lighting.

Briefly toyed with posting some of the evidence of the recent parental occupation (including the disappearance of almost an entire jar) but as peopleshots will get fewer and further between as the light fades...

All back to normalish tomorrow so I should be able to get back to doing more than the bare minimum of posting-and-running...
